How Do You Spell That Word When Spelling Counts?

However you view it, to err is human, to publish or send written work with spelling errs and typos is just plain sloppy and embarrassing. Whenever we read something with a spelling or language mistake our impression of the person or company takes a serious nose-dive. Credibility is lost. The way we write reflects who we are. Whether you are resume writing or business building, our first impressions are often in a written form. Using an online spell check will decrease the chances of a misspelled word. A spellchecker can quickly scan your writing for errors.

How do you spell a word when the first letter has the same phonetic sound? A thick dictionary takes time to flip through especially if that first letter is incorrect. An on-line spell check can quickly assist in this common dilemma. For example, the word “ptarmigan” is phonetically pronounced “tar-mi-gan”. Using a regular dictionary would be quite an undertaking.

So, how do you spell check with an online spell checker? Highlight the selection that you want checked. Copy the selection, then paste it into the online window. Click on the “spell check” button. A pop-up window will appear with the misspelled words highlighted. The menu will then allow you to change the word from a list of suggestions. There are also menu selections for grammar and a Thesaurus to help make the best word selection.

Writing has never been easier with the help of an online spellchecker. With careful writing and proofreading, your writing will always project the proper image and credibility.
